Camera, motor… and people in raincoats and hats are climbing the steps of the Kaliningrad Museum of Fine Arts. Cars are driving, soldiers are walking, it’s like 1945 in the yard. Onlookers hung from the bridge and watch the process. Klops watched how Kaliningrad turned into Nuremberg for a few days.

Director Nikolai Lebedev said that the film script was based on Alexander Zvyagintsev’s novel “Forever and Ever”: “It became a kind of starting point for telling the story of our heroes against the backdrop of the Nuremberg Trials.”
Kaliningrad seems to Lebedev to be a very cinematic city: “Your buildings that have survived in such good condition are of great help to us. In terms of intonation, your stock exchange building is more suitable than the building in Nuremberg. For me, Kaliningrad is an attractive location for filming, which means it is attractive for others as well. This is a beautiful city with its own history, with its own landscapes.
For the actor Sergei Kempo, the image of translator Igor Volgin is the first major role in his life. The artist admitted that he would like to make his character more human.
“There were trials, there was expectation, there was even despair. But in the end, everything worked out. When approved, we went to shoot in the Czech Republic, the day before the shooting there was a lockdown. When the shooting started later, I was extremely happy,” says Sergey.
Kempo shared his impressions of working with actress Lyubov Aksyonova. At first, the guy was very worried, but “she turned out to be amazing both as a partner and as a person: “I was very worried because she is famous and experienced.
There was a scene where we were supposed to play love, but I was stuck. And then she came up between takes and, like a child, took me by the little finger. We hugged and everything. All fetters and clamps have passed.
Actor Daniel Barnes came from the USA and now lives in Moscow. He plays Nancy’s personal photographer, an American journalist: “We have a love story.” Nancy will be performed by British actress Charlotte Harwood.
“We are very cool together. On the first day, it’s always scary when you have to be together with someone on the site. If you’re not friends, it might not be very pleasant. And we became very good friends. The film is serious, so we laugh when it’s not filming.”

Many of us are here for the first time.” The artist shared that actors from America, Denmark, Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria came to Kaliningrad.
Olga Kaverzina, Head of the Festival Directorate of the Kaliningrad Region, said that filming near the gallery building will last 3-4 days: “They do not plan to shoot at other locations. They discussed with me the possibility of showing the pre-premiere at the Yantar Hall. Director Nikolai Lebedev, when asked about the screening of the film in Kaliningrad, asked not to rush things: “Let’s first shoot, edit, sound. And I will be very happy if we are here to show our film to the people of Kaliningrad.”
The premiere of the film “Nuremberg” will take place in 2022.
